HDPE bottle is a kind of medical plastic bottle produced by blow molding and injection molding process with HDPE (high density polyethylene) as the main raw material. Its characteristics are non-toxic, tasteless; hardness, tensile strength and creep are better than low-density polyethylene; wear resistance, electrical insulation, toughness and cold resistance are better; chemical stability is good, at room temperature, it is insoluble in any organic solvent, resistant to acid, alkali and salt corrosion; film permeability to water vapor and air is small.
HDPE is a kind of opaque white waxy material with specific gravity of 0.941 ~ 0.960. It is soft and tough, but it is slightly harder than LDPE and can be slightly elongated. Acid and alkali resistance, organic solvent resistance, excellent electrical insulation, low temperature, still can maintain a certain toughness. The surface hardness, tensile strength, rigidity and other mechanical strength of LDPE are higher than those of LDPE, close to PP, toughened than PP, but the surface finish is not as good as PP.
The melting point of HDPE is 142 ℃ and the decomposition temperature is 300 ℃; the adjustable range of injection temperature is large. Injection molding, the general use temperature is 180 ℃ -- 230 ℃; because it is an olefin plastic, it does not absorb water, so it is not necessary to dry during production, but for the sake of product quality, it can be dried at 60 ℃ for 1 hr to discharge floating water; the melt viscosity of polyethylene is large, the flow length ratio is small, and the thin-walled products may be lack of glue, so the gate and runner are relatively large; the products are easy to carry static electricity, and the surface is easy to absorb. The shrinkage rate was 16 ‰ and the overflow value was 0.05mm.
HDPE bottles are mostly used for the packaging of oral solid preparations, capsules, tablets and other drugs. HDPE bottle is the most important in medicine packaging. According to the different market of HDPE bottle, YBB standard and USP standard can be selected. The relative production process control and raw material control are different.
