PET bottles are re-processed by blow moulding to form plastic bottles, including bottles used for packaging cosmetics, medicine, health care, beverages, mineral water, reagents, etc. This method is called two-step method, that is, the method of forming preforms by injection moulding and then forming PET plastic bottles by blow moulding.

Conventional testing methods for PET bottles include wall thickness testing, compressive testing and cap opening fatigue testing. PET manufacturers have their own quality testing departments.
